Shelf Life

I am always looking for new and exciting environmental enrichment for primates. I was given a sample of the banana Labgel and decided to use it as an environmental enrichment item for my baboons. I smear it inside of a paper bag and pour in some small foraging bits and shake. The bits stick to the gel and give a longer lasting, destructible and foraging opportunity, as they take their time to eat every single morsel. I highly recommend, not only for clinical care, but also as a novel item for enrichment.
